With permission from the National EA and PA Convention, I can share some of the results with you. Firstly, let’s take a look at the motivators for Australian Executive and Personal Assistants:
It is fascinating to see ‘salary’ ranking fourth on this list; I was expecting this to be higher up. Employers will be happy to see ‘positive culture’ and ‘career progression’ ranking first and second on this list of motivators.
Here we see the challenges for Australian Executive and Personal Assistants:
With ‘strategic role’ and ‘advancing your career’ ranking first and third of this list, it shows that there is a lot of drive and aspiration amongst EAs and PAs. This might surprise some employers! It’s unsurprising to see ‘work/life balance’ ranking second on this list of challenges; I know this is something that I struggle with personally and know many who face the same challenge.
