I got an email from a reader overnight (Hi, Rob!) who is about to start a new receptionist job. (Congrats, Rob!)
New jobs are equal parts exciting and terrifying. You know you’re alive when you’re the newbie in the office!
So Rob’s new employer is aware that he hasn’t had a lot of experience using Excel, but in this particular organisation, Excel is used quite a lot on the reception desk. And Rob is keen to get a head start on learning Excel before Day 1.
I suggested one quick (and free!) way for Rob to learn Excel is to check out YouTube (this one seems to be quite good).
But I’m sure there are plenty of other quick and affordable ways to learn Excel. And so, I would LOVE to hear from you.
Where can I learn Excel quickly and cheaply?

The tutorials from GCF Learn Free are very good – a combination of text and video. You can also choose the version of Excel you prefer – http://www.gcflearnfree.org/excel
